Abstract

Almost 90% of child mortality occured in developing country, over 40% of it was caused by diarhhea and acute respiratory tract infection, which can be prevented by exclussive breasfeeding. Data from the profile of districts/cities in Central Java Province year 2005 showed the average of infants at age of 0 to 6 month who were given exclussive brestfeeding was counted 27.49%. Previous pilot study conducted in Sukorejo Village, Tegalrejo Subdistrict, Magelang District in January 2011 revealed that of 5 breastfeeding mothers who exclussively breasfed their infants, there were 4 mothers who had husband’s support while only 1 mother who had not. This study was intended to identify relationship between husbands’s support and execution of exclussive breastfeeding in Sukorejo Village, Tegalrejo Subdistrict, Magelang District. Analitic survey method was applied in the study with cross sectional approach. Population of the study were breastfeeding mothers having infant of 7 to 12 months old. Total sampling technique was used leading in the amount of 35 respondents. Univariate and bivariate analysis were conducted, and chi square test was applied. The study result showed that table value of x2 =3.841 and count value of x2= 8,733 where it meant that x2 count value x2 table value. The result revealed there was a significant relationship between husbands’s support and execution of exclussive breastfeeding. It can be said in summary that there was a relationship between husbands’s support and execution of exclussive breastfeeding. Therefore it was suggested for health care providers specifically midwives to raise up support and counselling regarding exclussive breasfeeding in order to reinforce the execution of exclussive brestfeeding.

Abstract

This type of research was an experiment, performe dat using 0.35 Tesla MRI Unit. Data obtained by performing an MRI examination of the 3 (three) patients with 9 (nine) parameter variations. Assessment is done by measuring the SNR image using software on the MRI Unit and assessment of the intensity of the arteries by making the questionnaire to 3 (three) observers to assess the degree of clarity of the anterior cerebral artery, middlecerebralartery, posterior cerebral artery, basilar artery, and vertebral artery. Then conducted an analysis of data obtained. The study states that the examinationis performed with the parameters TR 38 ms, TE 9.6 ms, and FA 30 ° has the highest SNR valuesand intensity values clarity more apparent than variations of arterie so ther parameters including routine parameters.

Abstract

Vitamin A metabolite all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA), regulates periodontal collagen synthesis. Type 1 collagen, main component of periodontium was destroyed in perio-dontitis. Objectives: to study the effect of ATRA to body weight (BW), periodontal struct-ure, ATRA concentration, and collagen status. Method: 26 Wistar adult male rat of 8 weeks were used in the experimental study with Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Randomly chosen samples were devided into induced periodontitis through Porphyromonas gingivalis innoculation, and not induced. Tetracycline of 18.36 mg/day were given beginning from the finding of periodontitis, for 8 days. Randomly chosen samples were given ATRA 100 and 1000 µg/day, with A0 group as control. Body weight were measured using digital balance, periodontal tissue with light microscope, tissue ATRA concentration with High Performance Liquid Chromatography, collagen status i.e synthesis and degradation with Reverse Transcriptase Polymerizing Chain Reaction, spectrophotometry UV-VIS and Thin layer chromatography. T test was used to analyze BW mean difference among 3 groups before, also after ATRA supplementation. ANOVA was used to analyze BW and collagen status after ATRA supplementation. Result: There were no significant difference BW before and after supplementation (p=0.063 and 0.804). All-trans retinoic acid improves the collagen fiber structure. Amount of ATRA and RNA were not yet measured due to lack of time, technician instrument-ation, while they were needed to gain more measurable data.

Abstract

Quantitative Descriptive research with experimental opproach was done with x-ray machiine type UD150l-30E. The data of experiment was taken with made eight radiographs and the ESE measurement is conducted using TLD which layed on surface of abdomen phantom or at central point. Exposure was taken with eight times with eight variation of mAs. It is about 8,10,12,14,16,18,20 and 22 mAs with 80 kV. The result shown that there is a effetct of variation mAs to ESE and quality of radiographic anatomy image. Higher mAs result higher ESE and increase mAs about two interval reslut average value is 142 mR. Variation of mAs result variation of image quality. A good image quality with 19,1 cm part thickness resulted with use 18 mAs and 20 mAs with 80 kV. Optimum mAs with 80 kV in this research’s is 18 mAs.
